Freezing en route from Guangzhou to Hong Kong

I can't quite remember what I did, yesterday but I do know that I was busy.  I do know that I'm busy throughout my trip here, this week.....and that I should not have overbooked as I always seem to be doing.

I also know that today I will complete my Powerpoint presentation - first draft - and will start rehearsing off of it.   And then I will modify that presentation as I get into rehearsing, adding humor, as I can, whenever I can.

It is 7:20am.  I couldn't sleep well around 4:30am and finally, around 6am, got up.  Now I'd better schedule my activities for the day while I still remember all that I should be doing!

Such is the blog, today, from someone who knows he's got to add to this when out of China but has absolutely no idea, this morning, what to write.....

light rain
too f--king cold!

Just about 5 hours, yesterday.  That was it.  I could have put more time in but......what's the point??  I reviewed and I changed.....and screw it, I reviewed and changed enough.  What is is what will be is fine with me........  Another year.....another book.  A great cover and a funny/accurate group of essays that are worthwhile for those with the intestinal fortitude to actually want to read this sort of stuff at the end of a hard days dose of reality.

Will this be the end of the line for Larry's Tax Guides???   I'm heavily leaning in that direction.  No writing reduction but change of direction is necessary:  it is time for fiction!!

I'll be back in Hong Kong, 20-22 February.......otherwise, bye-bye blog, until that time.....

A time to focus......

Stretching this morning in spite of  having to get my way about town during our version of the polar vortex.....done.

Breakfast at the FCC including choosing articles to use for my next Tax Analysts essay.....done.

Psyching myself up to today's task at hand - final edits of my book and then submission to the publishers.....done.

Now to go home - my Hong Kong home - turn up the heater and start the final edit.....to be done.....

A cold, wet, London-type of day in Hong Kong.....

It is an absolutely miserable day, today.  And yet.....as bad as it may be, it is worse than the current weather is, now, in either Guangzhou or Tokyo - cities of family.....so I suppose I shouldn't complain!

And complaints are not logistically valid:  I had a two-hour brunch meeting less than half a block away from the Hong Kong apartment......and around 3pm this afternoon, hunger pangs needing to be satisfied,  I indulged in a chili-burger, fries and a vanilla malt a short, drizzle soaked walk from the apartment where the wifi works and the heater makes it comfortable.  I am inefficiently plodding through the day, semi-being on the verge of catching up.....deciding not to just as I get to actual work efficiency.....what am I rebelling against, now??
