Homeward bound

I left Guangzhou on 2 October.  Today, 24 October, I return and finally can sleep in my own bed, again!!!

Bangkok for 10+ days was good.  Work was good, finding a place to stay for 3 months was good.....life is nice.

Hong Kong was busy with meetings - too busy at this burnout stage of the year.  Yet I return home, today, with some work and lots and lots  and lots of time within which to do it......

Will I finally start learning the concertina that I purchased in Japan, in May?  I hope so.....but only time and determination to end procrastination will do the trick.....

10 days in Bangkok..........

And what have we accomplished?   A heck of a lot, actually!

Katherine spent her time reading and studying a 10 unit CPE program, 'The life-cycle of a corporation.  I did tax work - and completed the 48th tax season of my life.  48 tax seasons - occupational rut - how the hell did I get so old so fast?

But, on the other hand, we did search and we did find a three month home in Bangkok and starting the first of December, we will be learning what it is to be living in a real apartment (and not either a hotel or serviced apartment) for a few months.

Will Bangkok be a permanent part of our life in the future?  Actually, that is a stupid question/comment because BKK IS a permanent part of our present and future lives.  We'll be here more than just a few times a year and we like it like that!!

So, for those of you who want to be with us during those three months of 'experimental' (but not really experimental!!) living, come to Soi 16-Sukhumvit - we're going to be living at Garden Grove!   And insofar as morning meetings are concerned, Kuppa, on Soi 16, will be my breakfast meeting place from December through February.
